Hi John, I just discovered your podcast and am sorry to hear that you’ve discontinued it. Isn’t that just like me. A day late and a dollar short.
I really enjoyed the one I heard today and am glad I can still access it.
If you can recommend another podcast similar to yours, please let me know.
    Regards,
    Andre Nault

I LOVE the pod cast! I ALWAYS refer ALL my friends to listen to it, especially if they’re ‘struggling’. I wish you were still doing it.

    Thanks,
    natalie

Are you planning on completing your writing “Top Tough Issues That Cause People to Leave the LDS Church “? What a great resource!

Is there a link somewhere to his “top tough issues . . . ” list by chance? I would really love to read them to be educated more.

Wow, that was a really cool response. I actually think about challenging issues a lot. I have a brother that would throw out an anti-mormon thing about Joseph Smith or D&C or some other aspect of the church just to watch me struggle with how I could rectify that new knowledge with the church I thought I believed in when I was a teenager. I have absolutely no problem with questions and I’ve probably read too much anti-mormon stuff just so I could make sure I covered all my bases. And I have no problem with having questions. I guess I’ve known too many (if three count) people who have had questions and left the church because of it, without really trying to figure the answers to it or finding the “answers” in the wrong places on the internet. I think questions are great and necessary and just make you stronger as long as they are responded to in the right way. So I therefore give you my seal of approval if you’re going after the one to help bring them to the gospel and not a “I don’t know if it’s real. Maybe it is, maybe it isn’t.” Even though you didn’t need my seal of approval.

Oh, and from knowing those few people who leave the church, and after questioning them, I’ve noticed even they still believe in the Church and can’t explain why they’re leaving, when it boils right down to it. That’s why I have a problem featuring “leaving the church” people and ones who can’t stay away from it, like Margaret Toscano. Okay, that was the last thing I’ll say. Thanks, and again, super cool response from you.

I have to agree with Natalie Tanner…I wish I had found you site before I left the church.
There is so much that you speak on (especially in regards to blacks in the church)that played major part with my decision. although I still struggle with some of the doctrine, my heart is still with the LDS church.

While people who are leaving the church tend to love this I for being a standing church member that has gone through stuff like this in the past don’t think this is very productive to me.  I find it tears down my faith.  Just the way I see it.  I’ve listened to only two podcasts in their entirety more than 9 hours but don’t think I’ll spend much more time.

Thank you so much for all you do. Building my world back up again is taking a matter of weeks or months instead of years. I have direction and a game plan and understand that I don’t have to sever myself from the only community I’ve known.
