Me, Grant Palmer, and Wikipedia

Wow. We’ve officially arrived. In the Wikipedia entry on Grant Palmer, our podcast interview w/ Mr. Palmer (and Mr. Bushman) is mentioned. They also compare Grant Palmer to Galileo. Those of you with WAY too much time on your hands, or who want to Snark me, can even now begin writing a blurb on my own, personal “yet to be created wikipedia entry” (I’m not allowed to write about myself. That would not be neutral). This Web 2.0 thing is starting to get a little crazy, eh?

Check this out. It would be fun to think about what types of things we could do within Mormonism and the Bloggernacle like Radio Open Source. Brainstorming? Thoughts? Volunteers?

Some good writing/thinking on Blogs, Forums, and Community

February 23, 2007

For those of you ever-noodling about how to nurture and grow community on the Internet within Mormonism, here are some great blog posts/thoughts on the matter. I’m always interested in thinking of new ways to move the community ball forward.  Any of this interesting to any of you in the Mormon Bloggernacle context?  With this article in particular, I’d be interested in learning where all of you think the Bloggernacle is today (which of the 3 models) — and what direction you think it is heading. Anyway, I hope you enjoy!!!!

I know there are already a few aggregators out there, and they are cool cats. I guess that this one is a tad bit different in that we are categorizing blogs (at least for now) based on the conservative, moderate, and liberal labels (if you can think of better categories, let me know). Also, we’re gonna work to be as inclusive as we can. If…

Supporting Mormon Stories via Digg and Sustain’d

January 5, 2007

I get asked all the time, “How can I help Mormon Stories?” One really easy, free way is to go up to the Digg site, register, and Digg Mormon Stories podcast, along with all the episodes you like (individually). The more something gets “Digg’d”, the more exposure it gets, and the more people will become listeners. Also, you can do the same type of thing at the LDS-version of Digg–Sustain’d. In fact, if you open up any of my posts here, you can click the Sustain’d button and pass it through. So if you have a few minutes, please help…

Self-playing audiobooks: Playaway

August 28, 2006

This is so cool/interesting, I had to post–even though it’s not directly Mormon related. Someday I hope it will be. It is basically self-playing audio books (just plug your earphones in, and go!!!). Who will publish the first LDS audiobook on this technology?!?!?!?!
