In a shocking true crime saga intertwined with Mormonism, Chad Daybell’s defense team attempts to portray his beliefs as mainstream LDS teachings, sparking outrage as they seemingly blame the church for his alleged heinous acts. Prosecutors challenge this strategy, exposing the uniquely twisted interpretations that may have led to the tragic deaths of two innocent children. Brace yourself for a gripping exploration of religion, cults, and the chilling consequences of unchecked extremism.

John, I’m afraid you’ll never have a successful sleep podcast. You’ve got the voice, but the content is way too compelling. Even Rameumptom with that velvety baritone has the same problem. When I need to sleep, I’ve gotta go with someone way more boring than you two!
The State is trying to prove that these extreme teaching were Chad’s and that he influenced Alex and Lori with these beliefs to kill these people. If they were just everyday Mormon doctrines then Alex and Lori learned this elsewhere (ie church) and Chad is not liable for THEIR actions.
Lauren and Meagen give amazing discussion on taking key evidence from this case and its ties to Mormonism. Great work to you both and to Gerardo’s compilation work and John hosting.
I appreciate your heart and passion for truth and the fact that you support people on their faith journey without judgment. I’m not familiar with Lauren but her attempt to repeatedly conflate evangelical Christianity with Mormonism signifies ignorance or gaslighting.
