For some reason the Mormon church and its members are not interested in textual criticism, which would better be called “scripture history.” They say they believe in the Bible insofar as it is correctly translated, but then have no interest in finding a more correct translation. It doesn’t make sense. The long ending of Mark is an example. The best evidence is it was added years later after the original writing, but the church is uninterested. The King James version is not based upon the best and most correct sources, but the church is uninterested. It doesn’t care about identifying a more correct translation even when they exist.
