THANK YOU all for this episode. I took notes. It went to my heart. I sooooooo appreciate learning from Chanel’s and Gerardo’s exeriences. I am an activist in my family and with my friends and will keep on acting.
Equating church leaders with Jesus Christ is repugnant. And doctrinally untenable. Humans are not worthy of our faith. This is one of the major reasons so many people leave the church: their faith was misplaced. They built their house upon sand.
See Lectures on Faith, Lecture Second. Scroll to the end and read the first 5 questions and responses.
Faith in humans is an untenable position, by Joseph Smith’s own teachings.
