  1. A lot of good is trying to be done with these podcasts, and that should be noted. Unfortunately the layers of hypocrisy within them are thick. Just a couple minutes in they want to make sure the correct pronouns of the guests are being used. That’s a good thing. Yet, we are multiple years in and Dehlin won’t stop using the nickname “Mormon” after the leader of the church has publicly asked that the church be called by its proper full name.
You can’t have it both ways without the hypocrisy being noted.

    1. I think the only hypocrisy that’s highlighted is the Church’s for demanding respect for their “proper” name when their absolutely REFUSAL to do that for others represents the barest minimum of the harm they’ve caused that community, including destroyed families and deaths. Made even more hypocritical by the fact that the nickname they abhor on Nelson’s behalf is one that was actively taken on and celebrated in the billion-dollar “I’m a Mormon” campaign under Gordon B. Hinckley and Thomas S. Monson.

It’s an insult to the intelligence to now believe that every member who participated in that campaign, along with the Church’s “Prophets, Seers, and Revelators” at the time where under the influence of Satan, really offending Jesus the whole time so much that he didn’t reveal the current new logo back then.
