I was blessed to have an “idea” of myself, another spiritual identity, that was not attached to the LDS Church. I don’t know how I developed it. I was raised in a very devout LDS family. When I was willing to take the time, and had access to the internet, it was easy for me to research the LDS Church and I did not feel it was destroying me or my identity. However, there are people in my family that have their entire identity entangled with the LDS Church and they are true believers.
