Well put John. Cody, Leah, Brinley: thank you for your compassion and courage. It is ironic that the ones who most acutely feel the pain of faith transition are put on the defensive. Thank you for your contribution to change this dynamic.

BRAVO, John! Along with so many others…I’ve followed the Young family saga with interest and empathy. I was shocked by the outcome of their court – and there’s not much that shocks me at this point!

Your tribute to this exceptional family and the conviction and power of this particular podcast – well, in my estimation, make it one of your best. Your words were honest and eloquent. The recap of the excommunications of “true prophets” over the past decade or so shook me to my core and actually made me long to retract my resignation so I could face a “court of love” and be counted among this illustrious group of apostates.

Thank you for giving voice to so many of us who have found ourselves marginalized simply because we chose to live authentically.

    Love you, John.

Dang John! I just drank your Kool-Aid! Preach on brother! Awesome, truthful words. Spoken from your heart and cuts like a two edge sword. Loved it. Almost like the battle cry that Maximus charged in the beginning of Gladiator. Keep up the awesome work!

As a former bishop and still active member of the church I am very disappointed by what the church us doing. Once my sons finish their missions I resign. Can t stand watching the church I loved and served well for decades concur behaving in this barbarian way. Thanks john.. you are a better rep of Christ than those men in suit professing to be Christ s prophets! So ridiculous!

“The Star Chamber was originally established to ensure the fair enforcement of laws against socially and politically prominent people so powerful that ordinary courts would probably hesitate to convict them of their crimes. However, it became synonymous with social and political oppression through the arbitrary use and abuse of the power it wielded.
In modern usage, legal or administrative bodies with strict, arbitrary rulings and secretive proceedings are sometimes called, metaphorically or poetically, ‘star chambers.'”

Excellent ! John and the Young family. Now embrace the truth, you now have it, and if you thought life was great while a member of the church, you will now see how fantastic it really is. Thanks for your authenticity.

John, you’re an inspiration. It’s unfortunate that my wife will never see the church for what it is. I’m being ostracized, and shunned, and I feel very alone a lot. The pain, and anguish is very real. Members would think it’s because I no longer have the spirit. Members of my wife’s family have said that I no longer have the same “light” I used to have. But standing up for the truth is the most important thing I can think of, but it sure makes me feel alone. It’s sad. I told my wife that I keep thinking, “Choose the Right”.
