  1. John, I love your podcasts but I got to tell you the 15 to 20 minutes of disclaimers before you get to the meat or the subject is unnecessary. If people are offended or don’t understand your motives who cares. Let’s get to the subject. Also some of these podcasts could probably be scale down to an hour and a half not sure how you can talk for two hours and 45 minutes about a person who’s not even there.

OMG John you fell for it the guy who made the donation his name is Lou Skunt???! Lol.

  2. Mayim Bialik is known for Blossom, and very recently she played Amy Farrah Fowler on The Big Bang Theory and she is now the new host on Jeopardy.

  3. It is current doctrine that we are told if a gay member lives righteously enough they will be healed or made to overcome their homosexual attractions. We are commanded to get married to a member of the opposite sex in the Temple to receive exaltation. 1st Nephi 3:7 the lord will always prepare a way for you to accomplish whatever you are commanded to do if you are righteous enough and diligent enough. This principle is taught over and over in conference and church and in primary songs. If God commands something he will make it possible for you to do it. Even if explicit teachings of the past by Kimball and others are denounced now this idea is still found in the canonized works. Leaders pretending that they do not teach this pushes the blame from these current teachings onto the victims of these fallacious teachings.

  4. I guess the biggest question for me is why would David Archuletta interview Mayim Bialik? I’m pretty sure he wasn’t even born when she was in Blossom and they don’t have many religious or scientific philosophies in common.

Maybe it’s just me, but this seems like an attempt for David to remain relevant in the world where he gave up his fame and career to go on a mission, instead. Choices have consequences, as we all know.

Yes, I’m blunt, especially to native Utahns, but it is the truth.

  5. No one should have to self-identify as anything; this is forced on the lgbtqia community by society and discrimination. I feel terrible that David feels like he has to be public about this self-discovery which certainly will continue to evolve. The church is partially to blame for this because he’s trying so hard to fit the Mormon mold still that he doesn’t have a chance to explore his sexuality at all, he has to repress himself (there should be a whole study done on religious repression and asexual self-identification), and he’s trying to be as righteous as possible. The more we understand about sexuality and attraction and expression, the harder it becomes to force people into labels, even if those labels are multidimensional. There is simply way too much nuance to simplify it in that way. The church unfortunately is very obsessive about labels and only recognizes VERY LIMITING labels in the first place.
